8 The Coming End of the Age

will raise up great persecutions, and perhaps even the outright slaughter of Christians. Eventually, he will bring forth the Antichrist as his ultimate manifestation in an attempt to thwart Christ’s return. Satan will do all this because he knows that his time, as the ruler of this world, nears an end.

During that final time, God’s dealing with mankind will come

to a pre-millennial consummation. God will, in effect, reap

everyone! The believers will be ripened for harvest. The nation of Israel, through much intense suffering, will be delivered into salvation. This will also be a harvest. The Antichrist and his fol- lowers will be harvested in God’s wrath. The “tares” – the false, nominal Christians – will be harvested also, but for the lake of fire! Even the people of the nations who survive that period of tribulation will be brought before the Lord for judgment – another harvest! It is with God’s great endtime harvest that this book is concerned.
