Delusion is a condition of the mind and heart, a state of being in which deception rules. It is not just a matter of being deceived — we all suffer from being deceived to some level. Rather, when deception rules the heart, when deception becomes the norm, when a lie is accepted as the truth and held onto at all costs — that is delusion.
When deception is so deep that it is woven into the fabric of a person’s character, how is it possible to cure that? When one’s very foundation is at least in part a lie, what can be done?
